For this prediction to come true Obama needs to win in Iowa which could then lead to a victory in New Hampshire with a big help from the Independents. I believe that Guiliani has the name recognition to overcome poor performances in the early primaries to carry the big states and on to the convention. I do wonder if Brownback dropping out helped Huckabee (even though Brownback endorsed McCain).
